KEEGYN'S BAPTISMKeegyn was dressed to the hilt for her Baptism. To quote Cale..."she looks like a princess!" And, I must admit, she kinda did!
Getting ready for her big day!

Big Brother Cale....looking quite dapper!

Not a great family picture, but it had already been quite a long day.....and the Baptism hadn't even started yet! So I couldn't really blame Cale for getting tired of it all!

Proud Godmother, Jess!!!!! (Thank you sooooooooooo much for making it to the Baptism....I know it was quite the experience!)

Godparents and Keegyn!
Proud Godfather and greatest Uncle EVER!!!!

Keegyn rather enjoyed getting the water poured over her head. Just like bathtime for her...she just kinda relaxed and took it all in!

Blessing with the oil.

Proud Big Brother...once again!

Cale, congratulating Keegyn on a "job well done!"

HAPPY ST PATRICK'S DAY!!!!
OFF TO CELEBRATE ST PATTY'S AT DAYCARE.....WELL, THE KIDS WILL...NOT JASON! KEEGYN IS NO LONGER SPORTING THE IRISH OUTFIT (THANKS TO HER INFAMOUS BLOW OUTS!) BUT WAS STILL IN THE SPIRIT WITH THE OLD ST PATTY'S HAT....THANKS TO HER BIG BROTHER CALE WHO SOMETIMES THINKS KEEGYN IS JUST A BIG LIFE SIZED DOLL THAT HE GETS TO DRESS!
(at this point, she's merely tolerating his kind gesture!)
OUR LITTLE LEPRECHAUN!!!! ALL THAT'S MISSING IS HIS POT OF GOLD!

NOW, SHE'S DIGGIN' THE ST PATTY'S HAT!

Enjoying my last few days of maternity leave......
Sunday was GORGEOUS!!!! The sun was out and everyone in our neighborhood, including us, had spring fever. We couldn't help but get out to enjoy the weather! So much snow has melted...and I thought that was never gonna happen...Lakeville seemed to have been the dumping pot for snow storms this year!
Here's Cale, never passing up an opportunity to combine two of his most favorite things....trucks and digging! No sand in sight, so we had to make do with "snow" castles! And Cale didn't even mind the snow...braved the weather without gloves and didn't complain once!No need for a winter jacket with this 46 degree weather!!!!!
Cale's snowcastles.....(I feel bad sayin' it, but these castles could use a bit of work!) He was sooooooooooooo
PROUD!!!

Runnin' up and down the driveway, lookin' for trouble!

And of course, Jason had to squeeze in a little bit of work as well....I guess it can NEVER be all play with these two!

Thanks to Auntie Andrea, we were able to bring Keegyn out to enjoy the weather as well! This snowsuit finally was put into good use. We went for a long walk around the neighborhood...she was definately enjoying herself, all bundled, soaking up the sun, not quite able to move her arms...but enjoyed herself all the same!

Awwww....what a life!

JUST ANOTHER DRESS-UP DAY!!!!!

PEEK-A-BOO!!! (WE SEE YOU KEEGYN!)

Getting Cale's haircut has been no easy task over the past 2 and a half years. I've probably mentioned before that I absolutely HATE haircut days. Cale would SCREAM at the top of his lungs the ENTIRE time....even managing to puke once from crying so hard....usually we only would get as far as the dry heaves! So, needless to say, every time we went I would always tell the girls to cut it as short as possible, without making him look bald, cuz it would be awhile till we would venture back!
But, to my very pleasant surprise, Cale has suddenly grown up overnight and today, at the haircut place, he walked in to the store without me pulling him by the jacket, and there were no tears to be wiped. NONE!!!
I did, of course, bribe him with the chance to get a treat afterwards if he behaved like a big boy....but I did that EVERY other time as well and it never worked.
Playing with the toys to pass the time until it was our turn. Normal behavior. Typically he's all fun until his name is called...then all hell breaks loose......NOT TODAY!!!As you can see, we were in DESPERATE need of a good ole' haircut. It was becoming a bit unruly...and Cale did try to get out of it by saying "but I kinda like it long." (I don't have as quite a big of a problem with "long" per se....but "faux mohawk" which he appears to be pulling off here, is not doing it for me.)
So, here is where I thought he was gonna lose it. The lip began to quiver and the eyes began to water....but so far, so good.....

Who is this kid????? Certainly not mine!!!

Being patient with Sarah....but also still a bit tense...although at this point he was actually more worried about her getting hair on his sucker than anything else.....He was actually busy watching the movie for once! (Normally, this is about the time where the dry heaves come out...)

OH MY GOD!!! What is this????!!!! Cale is LAUGHING?????? Sarah has the touch, let me tell you! She kept asking Cale is he liked eating spiders and snakes --Cale apparently thought this was hilarious!!! Who would have guessed!

Finished product!!! Two pounds less of hair...one cheesy smile!!!

Again, I could not disappoint....here we are at Panera to get his blueberry muffin....Gretchen bought him some blueberry muffins for breakfast the other day when we stopped by to see her and he has not been able to stop talking about the dang things since then! So he got his treat and we had to buy one to bring home for breakfast tomorrow!! Thanks, Gretch!

You COULD use your hands...but why????

~FLOWER POWER~

Getting Keegyn acquainted to her soon-to-be bed. Cale will soon be transitioning to his big boy bed (in the basement!!!) in the next month or so. We're hoping by around his birthday we'll make the big move! It's time to get Keegyn out of our bedroom, even though she's a great little sleeper. But she needs her own room now, and Cale is excited to give up the "baby bed." Although I think I'm more excited to get his room together than he is....I'm so excited to decorate....and yes, it will be cars and trucks....I will not disappoint!

WORK IN PROGRESS!!!!
My long awaited kitchen update is now underway! Most of you have heard me complain about the ugly linoleum floors that were already stained, dinged, and gouged before we even moved in three years ago! You can only imagine the state it was in now---with a toddler doing whatever he wants to it, and myself not caring cuz I figured the worse it looked, the quicker Jason would cave in to my whining for wanting "my new kitchen!!!"
So.....here are some before pics (including our new appliances!) of the ugly linoleum that is, thankfully, NO MORE!!!!"Buh-Bye" ugly floor...you will NOT be missed!
TA DAH!!!!!!

TA DAH!!!

TA DAH!!!!

Now, all we need is the countertops/backsplash and I'll be pleased! Seeing, however, that Jason nearly had a stroke after adding up all we spent on the appliances, floors, and Cale's bedroom set (all in about a 3 day span), that project will have to wait another few months until he is fully recovered!!!!!
