OUR DAY AT THE FAIR
Our first stop was at the "Helping Hands" farm. It was so cute. The idea behind it being to help out with chores around the farm, like picking corn and feeding the fake chickens, planting some vegies, and other farm activities. Well, Cale was having none of it! Actually cryed! He just cut across to the tractors so he could ride around a bit...then we were done. He was not doing any chores on his vacation day! He even threw a huge red pepper on the ground in protest! So, needless to say, after the tractor ride, we split!
...this is about the most work he did at the farm...
And of course we couldn't bring Cale to the fair without trying some good ole' fair food! Jason loves the roasted corn, and we soon found out that so does Cale! But I guess why would we have figured otherwise, right?
Cale LOVED the merry-go-round! He had a really hard time deciding which horse to pick. As soon as he sat on one, he saw another he liked better. He picked the black one by default cuz the ride was about to start! He kept waving to Daddy on the sidelines and petting the horse's hair. But as soon as the ride started to slow down, that bottom lip started quivering, and and soon as the ride stopped, he started to cry! He could have rode on there all day long! Next year Cale!
I actually wouldn't have minded going again either....it was kinda fun!

Last but not least, we ended our day visiting with our buddies Kate, Kirk, and Brady! The little guys hadn't seen each other in quite a few months, so they kinda had to get reaquainted! Brady says "I like your nuk, Cale." and Cale said "thanks man, nice shirt!" Cale was caught in the act of brushing Brady's hand off of his arm. Now Cale knows how all the other kids at the park feel when he runs up to them and starts touching their legs and gets the total brush off!

The glider from Uncle Darik is finally being used by someone other than ME!!!! Yes, I love the glider...especially on the driveway--you get tons of speed! But Cale has finally learned how to move it with his feet. He doesn't actually like "gliding" on it yet, which is probably a good thing. I don't think I could handle him zipping down the driveway on this thing just yet! Thanks Uncle "D" for my glider---I love it!

NAP TIME WITH DADDY!!! HOW RELAXING!!!!
NAP TIME IS OVER....THAT WAS WAY TOO QUICK!Cale has found a new love for his puppy....He has had this thing sitting on top of his crib since he was born and never gave it a second glance...until, oh, about a week ago....Now he can't put the puppy down. He runs to his room everyday when we come home and grabs it and tries to carry it around the house. This is the only puppy that is bigger than him that doesn't scare him!
His second favorite puppy---he's giving him a hug while squeezing his head off!

OUR GRADUATE!!!

Cale has said good-bye to his high chair and graduated to his booster seat at the table. He is such a big boy now! Mommy was sad taking down the high chair....Cale couldn't have cared less....and Daddy was glad it was finally done taking up space in the corner!!!

Cale also enjoys eating much more at the table because not only can he see out the window and wave to Daddy across the table, but he has also learned that it is much more fun to throw food from the table than it was in his high chair because it is so much higher up....more splatter! I, on the other hand, am not as impressed!
Yes, he does look well behaved.....but don't let this fool you......About two seconds after I snapped this picture, that plate of french toast and syrup...yes SYRUP....was all over my kitchen floor!!!!!!!!!!!! He certainly is all boy!

THE SAND PARK

It took us awhile, but we finally figured out why Cale would never play at the "sand" park. He loved the "spongy" park and the "wood chip" park, but as soon as we'd step foot on the sand he acted like his feet were stuck in cement and wouldn't move a muscle, screaming with his high pitched squeal that he has perfected to a tee! He was always wearing his crocs--well, we finally realized he was upset because a single grain of sand (I kid you not!) was touching his big toe! Once we figured that out and put socks and tenners on, we were set! Now he loves the "sandy" park! Should have known that would have bugged him---he sure is his father's son!
We played in the sand for a good hour, digging and dumping, digging and dumping.......then it started to get dark......

I was calling Cale from the sidelines, telling him it was time to go because it was getting dark....He proceeds to look at me and laugh....like I was kidding.....
Then he realized I wasn't kidding.....we could not get him to leave! He gave one last protest with his also perfected "bucking bronco" routine...but soon realized he was no match for Daddy!

FUN WITH GRANDMA MARY

Cale got to spend a few days with his Grandma Mary this week when she came down to babysit for us....They were sooooooooo busy.....

Watching cartoons before bedtime...this has become one of Cale's favorite things to do. Although, he used to love reading books before bedtime as well. We'll see how long this "favorite" lasts!

What a good sport, that Grandma! Cale had to test out the hat on grandma, but Cale refuses to wear any hats!

We also went up to Albertville to do some shopping, but Cale also found some fun things to do while there....
like playing at the park....or walking laps around the park, as Cale did that day!

He also enjoyed riding the car...we did this a couple times and tried out a few more along the way!

Last but not least, Cale was helping Daddy water the shrubs....and also helping Grandma wash her feet! Such a little helper!
Thanks for a fun couple days Grandma!

Well, we certainly have a little boy on our hands....Cale got his first fat lip the other day...I think he was actually proud of it!!!! He kept smiling and kinda posing for pictures with his hands by his face, trying to draw attention to it. I know he thought he looked cool...

...See what I mean about drawing attention to it????

FUN AT THE PARK

Cale loves playing at the "wood chip" park. This was just a typical Sunday afternoon at the park with my little Cale Bale---We played this game of peek-a-boo for at least 15 minutes (funny how things just don't seem to get old with this one!)
Cale actually posed for this picture...nice photo op!
He's getting so brave! He actually went down this slide all by himself. It took him about 2 minutes to get to the bottom (and it's a really short slide) because the dang thing is barely slanted enough to gain any momentum!
Cale and mommy---my little "Love Bug"

At Jason's work picnic a couple weekends ago, Cale thought it would be fun to rip all the pinwheels off the blankets, which would have been fine, had they not been for the sole purpose of holding the blankets in place! Still, it was kinda cute!!!!!!!!

Cale loves his bathtime....He hates having his hair washed though. If he gets even the teeniest drop of water in his eyes, bathtime then becomes a nightmare! Jason and I have gotten to be pretty creative now when it comes to washing his hair...He loves seeing all the funny hairstyles we come up with..This is his favorite by far...and the easiest! Now can my son pull of a mohawk or what???!!!!
