Last week, Cale and I ventured to Sartell to see one of my best buddies and her two little babes, Kendra and Preston. (Unfortunately I didn't get any pics of Preston). It was so fun to see them, it had been so long since we had been able to hang out and catch up. It was also fun watching Cale and Kendra get to know each other. It took them awhile to warm up to one another (Cale especially--the little stinker) but then they were off having a blast running around the basement and hiding in the spare bedroom and then shutting themselves in there---Tina and I discoverd real quicky that they could definatley cause some mischief together if left alone for too long! But Cale and I can't wait for another playdate with them---and maybe next time Cale will be more of his normal "ladies man" self!!!
Sorry Cale, this is not the way to win the ladies!!! Although Kendra doesn't seem to mind at this point....
Now it's more like -- "Mom, what is wrong with this kid?"

Kendra had so many fun toys for Cale to enjoy--he especially loved the tractor (although you would never notice with the sour puss face he's got here!)

Kendra finally got Cale to come and join the play-doh party--

Thanks for a fun day Tina and Kendra! We miss you! Next time you'll have to come to our house!!!!

Another day at the Children's Museum. Today we met Gina and her two daughters, Avery and Mya, for a get together. Both Cale and Avery have birthdays coming up in April--Avery will be turning 3 and Cale will be turning 2 (although Cale thinks he's been 2 for quite some time now!) This time around, the kids actually got to explore and do a lot more--it wasn't nearly as packed as the last time we went. They had a really great time at Earth World, climbing thru logs and down into caves and tunnels. Here they are collecting all the animals...oddly enough, they both really liked the stinky skunk...EWWWWW!!!!

Showing off they frogs they caught....

Practical Avery.....drying off the froggie

Cale loved climbing in and out of the big turtle shell---I was surprised he actually wanted to climb in that thing. "Cheese!"

They also really loved the grocery store and restaraunt...Here's Cale making french toast. He was actually pretty good around the kitchen!

The last place we stopped was the dress up corner.....I couldn't really get Cale to participate so much...he did wear a safari hat that he was pretty proud of....No luck getting him to put on the pilot or construction worker outfits....

But Avery, on the other hand, hammed it up! Doesn't she make a great law enforcer???!!!

PLAY DAY
Cale and I had yet another play day! We were off once again to have some indoor fun...It's getting harder and harder to think of new places to go. We can't possibly go somewhere that doesn't have a horsie. Luckily for me, we found some horsies today---
"Hey Mom, what's up with the short ride"
I'll have you know that as soon as the ride ended (which was a rip off!) Cale kept telling me to "pay." And was none too pleased when the money ran dry!
Despite the short ride, Cale still loved his horsie and felt he should give him a hug.

Ta-dah!!!! Once the horsie saga was done, we made it to the play center. Cale loved the boat today. He was really using his imagintion--fishing over the side and everything!
Notice his snug pajama shirt as well. Oh yes, he only wanted to wear "cars" today and that was the only shirt we had that was clean that had cars on it. I was not in the mood to fight that battle this morning. So, off we went, out in public, in his snug fitting pajamas!!!!

We did end up making it outside later in the afternoon--the weather was awesome! Cale was not a fan of snow however...he only wanted to stand in the part of the yard that had the grass showing. And I had to carry him to that spot! Sure glad I bought those dang boots and snow pants this year!

Okay, then I felt bad cuz I promised Cale there was nothing wrong with the snow and he should just try to walk on it....well of course he had to prove me wrong. Toppled right over, and then of course couldn't get up by himself cuz he was so bundled in his snow clothes! Looked like a little water beatle struggling to turn over! That was the end of walking IN the snow....

Not a horsie in sight, but still screaming "YAHOOO!!""

Cale is definatley ready for summer---we walked up and down the sidewalk with his popper and he kept saying "sno way" (snow away). He's had enough of the winter--as have we all....

MY LOVEBUG!!!!

It was a beautiful weekend weather-wise....45 degrees on Saturday. It was the perfect day to go play outside in the snow and go sledding, but since Cale is just getting over all of his ailments (pink eye, strep throat, double ear infections, and RSV) we decided to play it safe and stay indoors for yet another weekend. Jason and I took Cale to the Nickelodean Park at the Mall of America and he had a blast....but then again, why wouldn't he.....he got to ride his "horsies!" I thought these pictures of Jason and Cale were priceless....especially the look of complete excitement as Cale is going round and round on the merry-go-round! Or maybe he's smiling so much cuz he's so excited to wave at Mommy taking the pictures! You can actually notice in the pictures how his mouth is forming the word "mom" as he goes by....each and EVERY time! Music to my ears!!!!!!!!!
