OUR LITTLE COUCH POTATO

CALE HAS FOUND A NEW FAVORITE HANGOUT AFTER A LONG HARD DAY AT DAYCARE....HE LIKES TO JUST PUT HIS FEET UP AND RELAX ON MOMMY AND DADDY'S BED...WATCHING THE BACKYARDIGANS.

CALE HAS HAD ENOUGH OF DAD IN HIS FACE AT THIS POINT, TRYING TO SHOW HIM TO "WATCH THE MOVIE ALREADY AND QUIT TALKING TO ME!"

STILL WATCHING TV......
STILL WATCHING TV (ALTHOUGH NOW A DIFFERENT LOCATION, AND DAY!)

Yet another day off to spend with my little guy! Today we met Gina out for lunch. Cale was sad because Avery didn't make it this time, but he'll have plenty of time to flirt the next time we get together for our next playdate! As you can see, we ate at one of my (and Cale's ) favorite places...Panera! He is getting so good at drinking from straws!! Loves it! He'll actually even drink water for me if it's through a straw! Although today we did not drink water....we had FRUIT PUNCH!!! What a hit!


Then we headed off to the park. We were the only ones there....I couldn't believe it! Everyone else was in school I guess! But we had fun anyways chasing each other around (which was my plan anyways--get him good and tired out so he would go straight down for his nap when we got home!)

SAY CHEESE!!!! Cale really needs some playmates though...poor kid had to ride the teeter totter all by himself! So he kinda just teetered.....
Running to the swings.....he's gotten so fast on those feet!

SPECIAL DAY FOR MOMMY AND CALE

Cale and I get to spend a "special" day together once a week--my day off! So we always try to do something fun together. Last week, we ventured over to the Eden Prairie mall to play on the little gym they have there and to have some yummy sandwiches from Potbelly!!!! Although we miss Daddy on all of our fun adventures, we really enjoy spending our time together. And yes, I did take this picture myself....about 95% of the pictures of me and Cale are taken by me! And good thing too, otherwise you wouldn't believe Cale had a Mommy!!! Let's hope Jason gets better at picture taking---we'll see how long it takes him to read this entry!!!!

Cale is getting so brave now, venturing up on all the steps and slides by himself. Doesn't even need me around anymore...in fact, he didn't look around for me for a good 20 minutes....and I'm not kidding!
This was Cale's favorite slide to go down because it ended right by a huge fishy that he always squealed at once he hit the bottom. And just in case anyone missed the giant fish, he had to point it out to everybody that walked by, noone else thinking it was as cool as Cale did!

We finished the day with a car ride (times three). And we only stopped there because I ran out of money, which was actually unacceptable to Cale. Then I hear myself saying, "Cale, I'm not made of money, you know." Hmmmmmm....must have heard that one a million times in my life!!! I guess it's the parental thing to say! He did't seem to care anymore than I did when I was told that either!
