Spring fever!!!!!!!!! This weekend was wonderful--high 50s and lots of sun! No more snow at the Thompson house! We took advantage of the nice weather and went to the zoo this weekend. This was also one of our best days at the zoo cuz the animals were all actually up close and doing things, so Cale just loved it! I think they all have spring fever too! But for as much as Cale loved the animals, he couldn't get enough of climbing through this cave...again and again and again..... Cale and Daddy scoping out the turtle who was sunning himself....
Down below on the Tropics Trail, Cale fell in love with the "big shark" that's swimming next to him in the picture. He didn't really care to hear that this was not a "big shark", and that it was just a big fish....so much so that he kept telling the little girl next to him that it indeed was a "big shark." Just blank stares from the little girl...so not sure if she was confused or just thought Cale was wierd....
Hi Daddy! We're taking a break from looking at the wart hogs because I wanted a picture, but Cale was not pleased about this....couldn't get him to even act like he cared....
"Big kitty!!" Don't think this kitty is as cuddly as Uncle D and Auntie Andrea's kittys!
We finally made it to the wolf den--Cale loved running back and forth in there following their every move---they were kinda freaky--really big and white...kinda creeped mommy out! He liked the wolf statue, but had to give it a good "once over" before it could entirely be trusted!
Cale was all talk before we got to the bears....he made a little small talk with the big one, but started back tracking rather quickly once the big guy looked up and made eye contact with him!!! ( I think the bear can still see you buddy!)

Well, we have a litte reader on our hands.....Cale has found a new love for books. He got away from them for awhile, but has found his way back. His MOST favorite are the lift-the-flap books because of all the fun surprised hiding underneath. Here, Cale is trying to act interested in his book, trying to avoid bath time. "Cheese!!!" Cale LOVES his Dora books....and DVDs. So now we have to add Dora to Cale's list of favorite things.....so now we have horses, cars and Dora!
You can't tell in the picture, be he is, again, reading his Dora book!
