DISNEY WORLD HERE WE COME!!!!

I'm not sure who was more excited about this trip...the kids or myself!! As much as I was excited though, I was also terrified of what the flight had in store.... not so much for Cale as I was for Keegyn. I absolutely anticipated at least one "classic Keegyn" meltdown..if not two or three. However, my little angels proved me wrong! Not one single hysterical antic or freak out! These were not my kids, but I was not giving them back for anything!

Cale LOVED the plane ride...although the flight home was a bit more interesting for him cuz he could actually see things. But he still thought it was pretty cool!

Finally arriving in Florida...11:15pm. Next stop...Disney's All Star Movie Resort! Little did we know that we wouldn't be walking into our room until 2:30am!!!

All in all, the kids were still troopers!

DAY ONE

Before heading off to Magic Kingdom, we made a stop at Andy's room at our resort. The kids were amazed at how big the Toy Story characters were...look how little Cale looks next to Woody!

Here's another "classic Keegyn"...pushing her brother away like the plague! Apparently she seems to think she's the only one allowed to have fun.MAGIC KINGDOM

...Truly as magical as it looks!...

Just in time to see the show! Keegyn could have watched the characters all day long...Cale could kinda take them or leave them but for the most part he enjoyed watching all the parades.

Aladdin's Carpet Ride

Sadly enough, this was the only ride we waited less than 45min for.

Also note, in true "dorky mom" fashion...I am sporting the "1st visit" button provided in our gift bag!

Time for lunch!

After just having finished the Pirates of the Caribean ride, Cale had to show us his best pirate impersonation!

Watching and waiting (and waiting and waiting and waiting) for Daddy and Cale to come down Splash Mountain!

The Big Carousel. The kids both loved this one too. Notice two things in this picture that did not leave Miss K's side while on our ENTIRE trip to Disney...Mr Bear and, yep, the dang nuk. As much as I had wanted to be rid of that thing by about 2 months ago, I knew it was a must for this trip to be a success!

(side note...we are now FINALLY, OFFICIALLY done with the nuk!!! Four nights strong!)

(I think "mr hurley" in the backgraound there thought i wanted him in the pic as well!)

Our day at Magic Kingdom was overall a success...I must admit that I had to get over some mild disappointment ...it was an exceptionally busy day for this time of year..the park actually extended it's hours this day because of how busy it was. There was soooo much more I would have liked the kids to have experienced (although seeing the smile on K's face when she saw Pinnocchio was priceless)...and so many more rides to adventure..(we only went on six cuz the wait time was no less than an hour!!!) but after 9+ hours my kiddos were ready to call it a day and head back to do some swimming and relaxing!

But when we go back...maybe in a few years...I am seeing my fireworks if it's the last thing I do!!!

On our way out of the park, K had to pose by her "Mimmie" one last time

Keegyn, "Mimmie" and Mommy!

Our second attempt out of the park...sidetracked by a parade!!

"Hey Woody! See you back at the resort!"

Another priceless experience of our vacation...watching Miss K giggle as she shook hands with Chip and Dale!

DAY TWO

ANIMAL KINGDOM!!

The kids were so excited to see Simba...they watched The Lion King the entire way down on the plane.

As we're all giddy and excited and talking about how cool it is to get our picture with "the cool Lion King people" the people next to us have to comment on "the beautiful topiary."

(ok, whatever...barf....who ruins the fun out of it by making it into a science lesson)

The Tree Of Life

(for those that haven't been to Animal Kingdom...the bark of the tree has hundreds of different animals carved into it...super cool!)

This was the start of our Safari Ride. AWESOME! We rode in a safari jeep and were able to see a ton of animals closer than we've ever seen them!

Cale was very impressed!

Sleeping Hippos

None of us could remember the name of this animal. But we did remember the important cool fact.

Those horns are very deceiving...you'd think they'd weigh a ton...BUT...they are completely hollow on the inside..

so the practically weigh nothing at all!

Can't believe we got this close to an elephant!

Another favorite of Animal Kingdom..The Dinosaur Boneyard!

This was a huge play area with tons of caves and stairs and slides and climbing towers. We did have one hysterical moment (both me and Cale) when we couldn't find each other..panic set in and I was wishing I had something to calm myself -- K's nuk would have been helpful, seems to always work for her!

Once we "regrouped" we decided it was time to move on from the boneyard!

We met up with our friends, Tom and Jamie (who live in Florida), and their two kids, while we were at Animal Kingdom.

Cale, Keegyn, and Kylie...enjoying some ice cream treats and staring at the monkeys (which are way up in the trees behind them!)
The kids all hit it off really well and they became fast friends, laughing and joking around like they'd know each other for years!

Family pic #2

No significance ... just a spot in the shade!

Back at our resort, Cale enjoyed another dip in the pool! Man, does this kid love his pools!

The pool area was adorable....each night they had a movie out by the pool too...we never made it to one of those...we were so exhausted by the end of the night it was all we could do to make it to our rooms before falling asleep!

Here, Cale is swimming under the spraying Mickey waterfall

Heading back to our room for the night, another stop at Andy's Room (cuz stuff always looks cooler at night, right??!!)

Good night Buzz!

Good night Woody and Rex!!

Good night Daddy, Cale and Keegyn!

DAY THREE

SEA WORLD!!

(this was a tie with Animal Kingdom for Cale's favorite)

Scoping out the Dolphins

A highlight for Cale was when he touched the sting rays...he was wishing he would get a feel of a dolphin fin or something here...but no such luck!

My baby girl was mesmorized by the dolphins

Me and my lovebugs...waiting for the Dolphin Show

ATLANTIS...one of the favorite rides of the entire trip...Cale can't decide which was better..Splash Mountain or this one...right after this picture was taken, they seemed to have gotten soaken wet somewhere along the way....and they look so unsuspecting, don't they???

...Here's proof...look closely at Cale's shirt...it is sticking to him like saran wrap! Jason had to wring out his socks!

Awwwww....cute, aren't they???

Awwwww...them too!!!

Kylie and Keegyn...waiting for the Shamu Show

We were in the "splash zone" but thankfully didn't get hit...I don't think Jason's socks were even dry yet!

DAY FOUR

NEW SMYRNA BEACH

This was a "first" for the kids...they loved the ocean. It was especially windy this day so there were waves aplenty for them to splash around in

Cale didn't stand a chance against some of the waves...knocked him clean over. I know for a fact that he got a mouthful of salt water a few times and I totally expected him to freak out about how gross it tasted, but never once did he say a thing! So I asked him if he tasted it when he got knocked over...he says "yeah, but I just pissed it out." Jason and I couldn't believe we heard him right, so I ask again...

same response..."yeah, mom, but I just pissed it out."

Jason says, "buddy, do you mean SPIT it out?"

Cale: "oh...yeah...spit"

Thank god Jason knew what he meant, cuz I was slighty mortified!!

...and then there were some waves that didn't stand a chance againg Cale and Kylie!!...

Keegyn wasn't quite sure she liked the waves at first

...but she got the hang of it pretty quickly...

How many does it take to make a sand castle????

WE CAN'T WAIT TO GO BACK!!!!
