PAN-O-PRAG CELEBRATIONS!
Every year, Lakeville has their own little summer celebration the entire week follwing the 4th of July, called Pan-O-Prag. It's filled with fun family activities like bake sales, kiddie parades and big wheel contests, talent shows, street dances....etc,etc,etc. We normally haven't taken part in any of the activites since most of them are during the week, but this year we headed to downtown Lakeville over this past weekend to take part in some of the festivities. We started our day at Airlake Airport and got to see some really cool military helicopters, trucks and historical planes. Cale really enjoyed seeing the helicopters and planes land and take off into flight! Especially the ones from Amelia Earhart days ( I know I didn't spell that right) with no windows or roofs to cover their heads!
Cale and Jason really likes this military helicopter. Cale couldn't believe how BIG it was!The nice military man in this picture was trying to really get Cale involved and was trying to get him to wear his helmet...Cale wasn't having any of that!

I know...nice picture next to all the huge array of bullets and gun power....

This one was much more friendly...no gun power to be seen.

After the airport we headed to the downtown area to the street market, car show, snacks, and the kiddie fair. Here, Cale decided to partake in the petting zoo, to my amazement! And actually did quite well...I could see from the sidelines that he was a bit skiddish at times with the goats walking ever so close to his side. It was then that I'd see Cale's little hand reach up quickly for Jason's to make sure he was close by!

Being brave and petting the goat....only for about 3 seconds so that I could snap the picture.....

...and then...yep....skiddish again...that goat was hungry and thought Cale's little legs looked mighty plump and juicy!!!

Keegyn enjoying the show of Cale running from the goats....and then about 5 seconds later...a complete and utter meltdown....We left the petting zoo immediately!

This past weekend we got to babysit my adorable baby niece, Mikayla!!! It was only for a quick 3 hours, while Darik and Andrea got away to play some softball, but we had a good time! I thought having 2 kids around was busy....it was a bit more complicated with 3 of them....especially with the age range of 3, 7mo, and 3mo. Two of the three angels wanted to be held and there was only one of me to go around....yes, Jason was "home" per se---but out of commission since he spent the evening tending to the lawn (but I digress). Needless to say, Keegyn went down at 8:30--and then it was smooth sailing the rest of the night!

Happy 4th of July!!!!
We spent our 4th of July doing normal 4th of July stuff! Fireworks, parades, BBQs, and just enjoying time outside!
Keegyn was a trooper at the parade. We weren't quite sure how this one would turn out with all the loud sirens and people and sweltering humidity, but she hung in there and really enjoyed the show!

Cale's cheesy smile...eating his fruit loops before the parade starts.

So prim and proper!

Cale was helping me out at this point....I was dying! He was being a good boy and fanning me off while waiting for the next round of tractors to come by!

Watching the marching band. The only other time he was this glued to what was in front of him was when the girls dance team came by kicking and boogying to the music! Seriously! He's 3!!!

Splish....Splash....
Cale seriously needs to come around this summer....I spent a good hour setting up water toys and his pool the other weekend. I mean, the whole nine yards....it was sweltering out and he was talking about getting outside in his pool like there was no tomorrow. Do you think he even so much as put a pinky toe in that dang pool???? NOOOO!!! I was about ready to flip my lid, especially when his answer for not wanting to get in the pool was because then "my shorts will get wet." Well, DUH!! Why would I not think of that! Of course he wouldn't want to get his SWIM TRUNKS wet...seriously.
So he barely ran through our little sprinkler either....and the only way we were able to even talk him into this was having the water barely turned on. Jason says "like father, like son" as he didn't really like water stuff either when he was a kid. I'm thinkin' "come on! It's flippin' 90 degrees!"

Cale thought it was much funner to observe the balls flying out of the sprinkler from afar
(after all, if he gets too close them dang swim trunks could get wet)

Who says curves aren't beautiful???!!!!

Keegyn made my day after all the huffing and puffing I had done trying, and failing, to get Cale in the water. She played and splashed in the water for a good long time! And then passed out from sheer exhaustion not long after!

Just our random days at home.....
As much as Keegyn can be a handful...(usually vocally) and annoy the pants off Cale, he still loves his little sister and insists on playing with her to no end. Here they are peeking out of the crib..Keegyn just trying to stay above the sea of stuffed animals!
Cale enjoying his new crane from Grandma and Grandpa B....I guess playing on the stairs is as good a place as any...right????
Beautiful Baby Blue Eyes

Whos's got the cutest butt in town??? "I do!, That's who!"

Ready for daycare...looks like she's heading off to her first day of school in her little mini!

HAPPY FATHER'S DAY!!!!!!!!!!
(to our SUPER DAD!!)
This year, Cale had no trouble picking out which ice cream cake to get for Daddy. He saw the SUPER dad one and knew right away that was the one he wanted, saying, very seriously "we should get Dad this one cuz he's kinda super sometimes."
The only trouble Cale had this Father's Day was actually keeping Daddy's presents a secret...somehow he worked that into every conversation we had over the weekend. The kids and I went to Home Depot to get one of Jason's gifts, the weed hound, and it just so happened that later that day Jason was commenting on how his weed wacker wasn't working right. Well, sweet little Cale gets so excited about giving people presents and he just blurts out "I'm pretty sure we got you a new weed thing Daddy!"
HERE'S TO OUR SUPER DAD!!!! THANK YOU FOR ALL THAT YOU DO! WE LOVE YOU VERY MUCH!!!

We spent the day enjoying the sun at Grandma and Grandpa T's. It was beautiful outside and the kids had a great time playing around the backyard.
They did everything from relaxing in the wagon (Keegyn) to digging for worms in Grandma's garden (Cale).
Cale and Daddy playing a little b-ball!! Cale's actually become quite good at hitting the ball. When he misses, especially after a few misses in a row, he gets discouraged though and wants to move on to something else. So now we've figured out that if we blame his misses on Jason, then he actually has more fun with it! So, if Cale swings and misses, it's because Jason either pitched the ball too high or too low....and sometimes it's even too high AND too low! (however that works!)

Poor Grandpa T! He can never catch a break with Little Miss Keegyn! She's sees Grandpa coming and gives him the look like "you better take a hike, pal!"
And forget about letting Grandpa hold her!

Daddy and his little princess

She was really digging the outside..she played with that leaf for a good 20minutes!

Last week, we decided to take Cale to Como Zoo....minus Keegyn! We had gone to the MN Zoo the week prior and Keegyn wasn't really digging the hot weather and the screaming, yowling monkeys. So needless to say, we didn't really see many animals and Cale was kinda bummed. Soooo....Jason took last Friday off and we headed off to Como....after dropping Keegyn off at daycare. (Cale thought that was pretty cool, too!)
This picture was just prior to dropping off our little pumpkin at daycare...poor Keegyn had no idea that we were getting ready to spend the whole entire day WITHOUT her!!! Cale, on the other hand, was well aware, and was plenty pleased by the idea of it!JOE COOL!!
(he still can't quite figure out the correct way to wear his "shades"...as you can see, they are bending his ears forward in the most uncomfortable looking way!) But at least now he wears them on his eyes, not on the back of his head!
Cale and "Mr Tiger"

Cale, Daddy, and the giraffes! Mommy's favorite!!!! Cale was actually loving the giraffes as well, which surprised both Jason and I cuz we had been talking up the polar bears for like a week before we went and he barely gave them a second glance!

Time out for lunch!

Of course, we had to make a stop at Como Town! The actual zoo area was totally crowded, where even I was a bit annoyed with all the people...Jason, as a given, was annoyed as soon as we walked up the front doors and we realized that almost EVERY elementary school was there for their "end of school" fieldtrip! So, Como Town was our escape...we got there before the school age kids grew tired of the animals!

Cale LOVED this ride...a fire truck with REAL water to put out fires! He could have stayed on that thing all day if we let him!

He actually was quite talented (not trying to brag)! He was actually hitting the fire most of the time! We might have a real life fireman on our hands!

Enjoying his unicorn sucker

Showing off his prizes of the day...unicorn sucker (most of which was on his face) and the wax polar bear sculpture that Daddy just had to have! (a favorite thing from daddy's childhood memories)

FUN AT HOME WITH THE KIDDOS!!!

PICTURE PERFECT

One more day at home with the kiddos....gloomy day = pajama day = messy house!!!

Look at my house!!!! Sad to admit that this is what my house typically looks like for most of EVERY DAY!!!

I SURRENDER!!!!!!
